Privacy & Cookies

This page explains what data Taste of the Vines collects when you use this website, the cookies we set, and the choices you have. We keep this deliberately plain.

Cookies we use

Essential cookies and storage. We use a small amount of browser storage to make the site work — for example to remember the items in your basket, keep you signed in, and record that you have confirmed you are 18 or over. These are always on, because the site cannot function without them, and they do not track you across other websites.

Analytics cookies (optional). With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages are popular, how people move through the shop, and where things can be improved. These cookies only run after you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner.

Your choice

When you first visit we ask whether you’re happy with analytics cookies. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a restricted, cookieless mode and sets no tracking cookies (Google Consent Mode). You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

What analytics collects

Google Analytics collects usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location (from your IP address, which we ask Google to anonymise), device and browser type, and the products viewed or purchased. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site. Google processes this data as described in its own privacy policy.

Orders and contact

When you place an order or contact us, we process the details you give us (such as your name, email, delivery address and order contents) to fulfil the order and respond to you. Payments are handled securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

Getting in touch

For any question about your data, or to request a copy or deletion of it, email us at mark@tasteofthevines.co.uk. You can also reach us via the contact page.
